See Draft Planning Schemes in preparation for a list of councils that have advised the Commission that they intend to prepare a draft planning scheme. Although councils must advise the Commission pursuant to s.23 of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 of their intention to prepare a draft planning scheme, in many instances this step of the process does not occur until early preparation of a draft planning scheme is well advanced. Accordingly, there may be councils in addition to those listed that are actively preparing a draft planning scheme.
